Nogales has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Harbor Teacher Monarchs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 74-46, which was the final score in Nogales' tilt against Rowland on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Nogales can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 884th, while Rowland is ranked 291st).
Meanwhile, Harbor Teacher had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They slipped by Port of Los Angeles 58-57 two weeks ago. The win was just what Harbor Teacher needed coming off of a 62-42 loss in their prior contest.
Nogales' loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Harbor Teacher, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
