The Harbor Creek Huskies entered their tilt with the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Harbor Creek narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Mercyhurst Prep 47-45. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Harbor Creek also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Harbor Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braylen Wilson, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 blocks. That makes it two consecutive games in which Wilson has scored at least 25% of Harbor Creek's points. Another player making a difference was Tucker Chwatek, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds.
Harbor Creek's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Mercyhurst Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Harbor Creek will head out on the road to face off against Warren at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Harbor Creek likes a good challenge. Mercyhurst Prep will be home for the holidays to greet Grove City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
