While Cornwall Central's victory against Warwick wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Dragons' pitchers stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 1-0 shutout on Wednesday. The win was nothing new for the Dragons as they're now sitting on three straight.

Cornwall Central's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Warwick, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Coincidentally, Cornwall Central and Warwick will both be playing Valley Central the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Vikings at 4:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Dragons will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
