Gavin Hardeman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lyons-Decatur Northeast over Bancroft-Rosalie
Starting off the list is Lyons-Decatur Northeast's Gavin Hardeman, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hardeman rushed for 248 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Bancroft-Rosalie's probably not too fond of Hardeman given he always seems to get the better of them. When Hardeman last faced the Panthers back in September of 2023, he rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.

Buchholz Made His Presence Known in Bancroft-Rosalie's 54-42 Win
Nick Buchholz's big game helped extend Bancroft-Rosalie's winning streak to seven on Friday. Buchholz was unstoppable, throwing for 277 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 37 yards and two touchdowns.
Lyons-Decatur Northeast's probably not too fond of Buchholz given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Buchholz saw the Cougars), he rushed for 42 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 135 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes.

Graysen Briggs and Co. Win Seventh in a Row
Bancroft-Rosalie picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Graysen Briggs. Briggs was unstoppable, rushing for 108 yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 75 yards.
Lyons-Decatur Northeast's probably not too fond of Briggs given he always seems to get the better of them. Briggs rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries the last time he and the Cougars duked it out back in September of 2023.

Bancroft-Rosalie picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Braylon Wegner. Wegner was unstoppable, picking up 142 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Unfortunately for Lyons-Decatur Northeast, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Wegner. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Wegner saw the Cougars), he picked up 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Landen Cooper Turns in Season-Best Performance
Sadly, Landen Cooper posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Lyons-Decatur Northeast over Bancroft-Rosalie on Friday. Cooper rushed for 221 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.5 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 52 yards.
On the season, Cooper has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 125.6 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 68.57 rushing yards per game.
