Baseball Game Preview: Carlisle County Comets vs. Hickman County Falcons

For the second straight game, Carlisle County will face off against Hickman County. The Comets will host the Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Carlisle County's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Hickman County 6-0. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Koltyn Perez made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Carlisle County is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-8 otherwise. Perez was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Perez wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lawsin Moore, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Another was Brennan O'Neill, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Hickman County's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-12. As for Carlisle County, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-8.
