It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Woodson had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 58-46 win over the Oscar Smith Tigers. Winning may never get old, but the Cavaliers sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Woodson to victory, but perhaps none more so than William Taylor, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kaylen Chilton, who went 6-for-14 to rack up 19 points and five boards.
Woodson's victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points over those games. As for Oscar Smith, they moved to 26-2 with that loss, which also ended their 16-game winning streak.
Coming up, Woodson will square off against South Lakes at 6:30 p.m. on March 15th. One thing working in South Lakes' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. Oscar Smith does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
