While losing is never fun, Hannah-Pamplico can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while Richland Northeast is ranked 62nd).
Despite the loss, Hannah-Pamplico still got an impressive performance from Tylin Jenkins, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Hannah-Pamplico struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Richland Northeast racked up 13 assists.
Richland Northeast got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chris Asuzu out in front who scored ten points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Asuzu has scored all season. Od Grier was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Hannah-Pamplico are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7. As for Richland Northeast, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hannah-Pamplico will take on Green Sea Floyds at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Richland Northeast, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ridge View at 7:30 p.m.
