The biggest upset of the week belonged to Monte Vista, who took down 64th ranked Monte Vista, 21-14.
Tyler Offill and Javonn Williams provided fans with a highlight when they connected against De La Salle. The connection was good for 65 yards, the longest such play in East Bay this season.
Karris Johnson was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 104 yards on 15 carries as California beat Amador Valley. Teammate Austin Terry added to the ground attack by rushing for 80 yards.
Offill put up the best numbers through the air as Granada lost to the Spartans. He finished with nine completions for 135 yards and one touchdown. Offill's favorite target this week was Williams, who caught one pass for 65 yards.
Cornwell was the best wideout in the league this week as the Grizzlies beat the Dons. Cornwell racked up five receptions for 97 yards. Johnson helped California's passing attack out by catching one ball for 18 yards.
Cameron Owen provided a threat through the air and on the ground as California defeated Amador Valley. He completed eight passes for 135 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 42 yards.
The Mustangs' Nikita Zamora and Mason Melin have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading East Bay in both passing and receiving yards. Zamora has thrown for 651 yards this season, while Melin, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 14 catches for 236 yards. Livermore's Tyler Rardon leads the league in rushing yards with 452.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Foothill takes on Eric Billeci's team. As it stands, the Falcons are in fourth, while the Grizzlies are in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Monte Vista takes on the Matadors. Craig Bergman's team has allowed 57 points this season, while Granada has given up 72. The Mustangs allowed 21 points last week as they fell to Foothill.
California extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Rick Sira's team, 31-21. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
