Riverview will be defending their home turf for the first time on Wednesday when they go up against Booker at Riverview High School at 6:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Riverview had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-40 punch to the gut against Venice last Wednesday. Riverview were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-20.
Booker had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Sarasota last week as they made off with a 42-14 win. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Booker had established a 36-14 advantage.
Booker's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Riverview's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Booker can add another positive mark to their record or if Riverview can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Booker's step.
