The Muscle Shoals Trojans's three-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Baker 58-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Baker lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dashawn Thomas, who scored 17 points. Thomas continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Derrick Florence lll was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
The win got Muscle Shoals back to even at 4-4. As for Baker, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4.
Muscle Shoals is on the road again on Thursday and play against Huntsville at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st. Huntsville is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last ten games. Baker won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Clay-Chalkville at 1:30 p.m. on December 21st.
