After a string of three wins, the Parish Episcopal Panthers's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 65-53 to St. John's.
Leading St. John's to victory were Malachi Booker and Sebastian Williams-Adams. Booker scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds, while Williams-Adams dropped a double-double on 28 points and 16 rebounds. The match was Williams-Adams' 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Callahan, who scored 7 points.
Parish Episcopal's defeat dropped their record down to 15-5. As for St. John's, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4.
Parish Episcopal will head out on the road to face off against Arlington at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Arlington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 685th, while Parish Episcopal is ranked 75th). As for St. John's, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. John XXIII at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
