Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carpinteria). They never let the Channel Islands Raiders onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Carpinteria pushed their record up to 3-3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Channel Islands, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1-1 and their overall record down to 2-3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carpinteria will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Santa Paula at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Santa Paula's last five games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
