Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, Shoemaker was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They came up short against Bastrop, falling 11-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wolves have suffered since March 4, 2025.
Diana Samuelu-Pedro made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Nichole Clemente, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.
Shoemaker dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Troy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
