Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the South Plantation Paladins walked away with it. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 38-37 victory over the Gators. Despite the win, that was the fewest points South Plantation has scored all year.
South Plantation got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaiden Francis out in front who scored 13 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Harry Gelin, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
South Plantation is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season. As for Everglades, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season.
South Plantation's road trip will continue as they head out to face Pembroke Pines Charter at 7:00 p.m. on February 10th. One thing working in Pembroke Pines Charter's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Everglades does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
