The De Anza Dons's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They came out on top against Saint Mary's by a score of 85-77. The victory was just what De Anza needed coming off of a 85-59 defeat in their prior match.
De Anza's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ahmari Otis, who scored 24 points. The contest was Otis' eighth in a row with at least ten points. Jacari Madison was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
De Anza's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5. As for Saint Mary's, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. De Anza will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Salesian College Preparatory on January 16, 2024. Saint Mary's won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against AIMS College Prep at 1:00 p.m. on December 16th. AIMS College Prep has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 213 points over their last three contests.
