It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Central Tigers can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Bulldogs on the road and fell 41-0. Central's loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.
Hooker's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justin Palacios, who rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Kleat Martens, who threw for 122 yards and a touchdown.
Central's loss dropped their record down to 12-1. As for Hooker, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.
Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hooker will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Hominy. Hominy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
