Having struggled with seven losses in a row, North Hills Christian turned things around against Covenant Classical on Friday. They claimed a resounding 78-47 victory over the Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Eagles have posted since December 2, 2024.
It was another big night for Maverick Ball, who went 13 of 20 en route to 34 points and three steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of North Hills Christian's points. Adarion Hawkins was another key player, going 5 for 7 on his way to 13 points.
North Hills Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Lee Park Prep was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past The Fletcher School 76-32. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 23 points or more this season.
Lee Park Prep's win came from a few key players North Hills Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Isaac Watkins, who posted six points in addition to seven assists and five boards. He has been hot for a while, having also posted three or more steals the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Justus Stikeleather, who had nine points and three steals.
Lee Park Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.8 points. As for North Hills Christian, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12.
