Basketball Recap: Ryann Brinkman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northmor over Cardington-Lincoln

Northmor lost against Cardington-Lincoln back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Northmor Golden Knights took a hard 55-38 fall against the Cardington-Lincoln Pirates.

Northmor lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ryann Brinkman, who posted nine points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Brinkman is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Claire Tackett, who had eight points and six rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cardington-Lincoln to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abigail Hardwick, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 15 points in addition to seven assists and six steals. That's the most assists Hardwick has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinstin Henthorn, who posted 20 points.

Northmor now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Cardington-Lincoln, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Northmor wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 47-37 loss against Lucas on the 14th. As for Cardington-Lincoln, they will head out to take on East Knox at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
