The Broken Arrow Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 24 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 69-39 win over Glenpool on the road. The victory was all the more spectacular given Broken Arrow's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Glenpool is ranked 17th).
It was another big night for McKenzie Mathurin, who scored 28 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Broken Arrow's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Macy Marraccini, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Broken Arrow now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Glenpool, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-1.
Broken Arrow won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bartlesville on January 5th. As for Glenpool, they will head out on the road to face off against Bishop McGuinness at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th.
