The St. Pius X Warriors lost against the North Kansas City Hornets back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. St. Pius X suffered a tough 49-24 defeat at the hands of the Hornets. While losing is never fun, St. Pius X can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Hornets are ranked 27th).
Despite the defeat, St. Pius X saw an underclassman step up: Kate Sell scored six points along with three steals.
St. Pius X's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for North Kansas City, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
St. Pius X will take on the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Kearney focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Monday. As for North Kansas City, they will be playing at home against the Patriots on Tuesday.
