The Greater Vision Academy Lions stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 64-43 margin over Gospel Light Christian. The win was nothing new for Greater Vision Academy as they're now sitting on five straight.
Greater Vision Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Titus Tucker led the charge by scoring 18 points along with four steals. Johntez Raspberry was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Greater Vision Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Gospel Light Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greater Vision Academy will square off against Lee Park Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Lee Park Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Friday. Gospel Light Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Triad Baptist Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Triad Baptist Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Gospel Light Christian likes a good challenge.
