The Lackey Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Westlake by a score of 45-43. Lackey was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Westlake apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.
Raynna Ratchford continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Westlake, dropping a triple-double on 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 steals. Those 11 steals set a new season-high mark for her. Emma Fonke was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Lackey bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Westlake, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.
After both having extra time off, the two teams will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Westlake will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lackey at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
