Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for New Diana

New Diana entered their tilt with Pine Tree on Saturday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Pine Tree Pirates by a score of 5-2. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 4-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

New Diana's record now sits at 7-5-1. As for Pine Tree, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Diana will head out to face off against Mount Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (New Diana: 3.8, Mount Vernon: 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Pine Tree, they will venture away from home to challenge Spring Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
