This season hasn't been kind to the Preble Shawnee Arrows, who are still winless after their eighth contest. They had to suffer through a rough 54-25 loss at the hands of Oakwood. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Preble Shawnee has scored all season.
Preble Shawnee's loss on Saturday came despite strong showings from Aubrey Unger and Autumn Smith. Unger scored seven points along with ten rebounds, while Smith scored four points along with three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for her.
Preble Shawnee's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for Oakwood, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Preble Shawnee will face off against National Trail at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oakwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Butler at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Butler's defense has only allowed 26.4 points per game this season, so Oakwood's offense will have their work cut out for Oakwood.
