Talan Olmstead continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 22 rebounds. He also posted eight assists for the first time this season. Skylar Horn was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the match if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Training Center Christian's strategy against the Angels on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Training Center Christian blew the Angels out of the water with a 60-28 final score. Training Center Christian relied on the efforts of Andrew Bryan, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds, and Creed Lopez, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Lopez is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Bryan, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Ozanam's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Training Center Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Ozanam have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 40.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Training Center Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 37.7 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Ozanam ended up a good deal behind the in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, losing 67-48. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lopez, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds.
