Matthew Shea turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than two earned runs surrendered on Saturday. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has become a key player for Westminster School: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-8 otherwise.

Coming up, Shea and Westminster School will host Avon Old Farms at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Martlets have some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since May of 2019, but a win here would be a good start.
