Volleyball Recap: Spanish Fork Has No Trouble Against Stansbury

Spanish Fork not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 3, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Stansbury Stallions.

Spanish Fork not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Stansbury between 13 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-13, 25-16.

Spanish Fork can attribute much of their success to Baylee Smith, who had seven digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Spanish Fork was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in November of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Stansbury lost, don't look at Savannah Merritt. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and two assists. Merritt is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season.

The victory got Spanish Fork back to even at 1-1. As for Stansbury, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Spanish Fork wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Hurricane on the 15th. As for Stansbury, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Carbon on the 19th.
