Wilmington had to start their season on the road  on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took  a  7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grove City Eagles. The Greyhounds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in March of 2024.
  Freddie Zehetner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole  Two bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Danny Leonard, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilmington will be defending their home field for the first time this season  when they go up against Union Area  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Grove City, they will welcome Mercer  at 4:00  p.m.  on March 25th.
