The Kingfisher Yellowjackets were the 71-59 winner over the Casady Cyclones when they last played one another back in December of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Kingfisher took a 40-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Casady.
Casady found their leader in underclassman Kaden Leache, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Payton Mitchell-johnson was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Kingfisher's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Casady, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingfisher the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Weatherford at 8:00 p.m. on January 30th. Weatherford presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Kingfisher in Oklahoma (Weatherford is ranked 23rd, while Kingfisher is ranked 314th). As for Casady, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lexington at 7:30 p.m.
