Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Lakeside was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 322 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 190 rushing yards in seven consecutive contests.
Effingham County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tucker Perkins, who threw for 383 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per attempt. Effingham County is 3-1 when Perkins posts 250 or more passing yards, but 0-3 otherwise. Jacques King did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 143 receiving yards.
