WILLCOX, Ariz. -
Benson (Ariz.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as
Nick Hernandez ran for a touchdown with with 7:00 to go in the third quarter, bringing the team to victory over
Willcox (Ariz.) 40-21.
The Bobcats led 14-7 at halftime, but the Cowboys regained the lead on a touchdown with 11:00 left in the third.
Benson expanded its lead to 13 points entering the fourth quarter. BHS scored two times in the third, including once on a Hernandez touchdown run.
Hernandez and
Travis Barney ran for a bunch of touchdowns for Willcox. Hernandez scored two touchdowns on the ground and Barney added two as well.
When the two teams played each other last season, the Bobcats came away with a 22-0 victory.
