Frankenmuth took care of business in their home opener on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Ogemaw Heights Falcons by a score of 7-4.
Not much got past Chloe Compau, who gave up just a hit and racked up 18 Ks to keep Ogemaw Heights off the board.
On the hitting side, Bri Barker was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Miranda Polley, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Frankenmuth kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ogemaw Heights only managed eight hits.
Looking ahead, Frankenmuth will be playing at home against Birch Run at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ogemaw Heights, they will head out on the road to face off against Harrison at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
