McCurdy has gone 9-0-1 against Questa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bobcats will welcome the Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
McCurdy's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Mesa Vista 24-0. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won eight in a row.

Taden Sisneros and Celestino Salazar-Archuleta made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Sisneros tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Salazar-Archuleta tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. At the plate, Sisneros scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Salazar-Archuleta scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-4. Salazar-Archuleta is becoming a predictor of McCurdy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, McCurdy got a massive performance out of Ethan Bolton, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Bolton has become a key player for the Bobcats: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Garcia, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
McCurdy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 14 hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Questa entered their tilt with Mesa Vista on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 16-5 win.
Noah Rael made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ricardo Leon Jr., who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those home runs marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was James Garcia, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.
McCurdy pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Questa, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. McCurdy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .641. However, it's not like Questa struggles in that department as they've averaged .598. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
