Sharyland has gone 8-2 against Vela recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Rattlers will head out on the road to square off against the Sabercats at 12:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Sharyland lost 3-0 to Pioneer on Tuesday.
The final score came out to 25-14, 25-13, 25-13.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jayleen Berlanga, who had 13 assists and five digs. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Paula Perez, who had 14 digs and one assist.
Meanwhile, Vela came up short against McAllen on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Sabercats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Vela was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made McAllen work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 26-24, 23-25, 25-18.
Vela's loss dropped their record down to 30-8. As for Sharyland, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-15.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's contest: Sharyland has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.1 aces per game. However, it's not like Vela struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.7 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Sharyland couldn't quite get it done against Vela when the teams last played back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Rattlers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
