Betsy Layne won the last time they faced Phelps and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 16-1 victory. Considering the Bobcats have won seven matches by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win got Betsy Layne back to even at 9-9. As for Phelps, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with the loss, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Betsy Layne will venture away from home to challenge Paintsville at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Phelps, they will square off against Cordia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
