The Bowen Boilermakers entered their tilt with the Steinmetz College Prep Silver Streaks with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Bowen walked away with a 53-43 win over the Silver Streaks on Wednesday.
Leading Bowen to victory were Caleb Wright and Jeremiah Carter. Wright scored 16 points, while Carter scored ten points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Carter hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Rashad Jackson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Bowen's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Steinmetz College Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
Bowen's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Horizon Science Academy-Southwest will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak. Steinmetz College Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
