The Frankton Eagles and the Hamilton Heights Huskies squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Frankton Eagles had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a rough 53-23 loss at the hands of the Huskies. Frankton's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Hamilton Heights got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Camryn Runner out in front who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Runner is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 17 or more in the last 23 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ella Hickok, who scored eight points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Frankton's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Hamilton Heights, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 22-2.
Frankton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hamilton Heights won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Jay County is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road.
