It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Chilton Pirates had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by the Beavers on the road to the tune of 53-7. The result was nothing new for Chilton, who have now won nine matchups by 26 points or more so far this season.
Isaiah Redd continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 438 yards and four touchdowns while completing 91.7% of his passes, and also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Tyler Jones was another key contributor, picking up 216 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
The victory was the sixth in a row for Chilton, bringing their record for this year to 13-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Falls City, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.
Chilton is on the road again on Friday and play against Mart at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. One thing working in Mart's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matches. Falls City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
