New Kent had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They snuck past the Gloucester Dukes with a 13-7 victory.
Leading New Kent to victory were Braylon Simpson and Sherman ''Trey'' Wynn. Simpson rushed for 91 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries, while ''Trey'' Wynn rushed for 67 yards and one TD. ''Trey'' Wynn also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making one tackle in addition to snagging an interception.
