Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop England). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Colleton County Cougars a 16-0 shutout on Friday. The Battling Bishops haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Bishop England got a massive performance out of Logan Sheninger, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave Sheninger a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of WYATT LYNN, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.

Bishop England always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .649. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Bishop England's record now sits at 12-6. As for Colleton County, they dropped their record down to 2-13-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Bishop England and Colleton County will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Battling Bishops see the field they'll take on Bluffton at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Colleton County, their break will end when they face May River at 6:30 p.m. on the 21st.
