The Odem Owls had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged Woodsboro out 54-52. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Odem also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Woodsboro still got an impressive performance from Jordan Zena, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Amarian Zambezi, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Odem's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-13. As for Woodsboro, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.
Odem will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mathis at 7:30 p.m. Mathis is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Woodsboro, they will head out on the road to face off against Port Aransas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
