Collinsville is 4-0 against North Sand Mountain since September of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Collinsville Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the North Sand Mountain Bison at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Collinsville can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 55-14 win over Whitesburg Christian Academy at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Collinsville.
Meanwhile, North Sand Mountain humbled Section with a 51-7 victory. The win was just what North Sand Mountain needed coming off of a 54-13 loss in their prior contest.
The team won by holding Section to a paltry no rushing yards and no passing yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to North Sand Mountain's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out six times before it was all said and done. The heavy lifting was done by Cruz Yates and Myles Gottmann who racked up five sacks between them.
Collinsville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for North Sand Mountain, their victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-3.
Collinsville strolled past North Sand Mountain when the teams last played back in October of 2022 by a score of 28-12. Will Collinsville repeat their success, or does North Sand Mountain have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
