The Checotah Wildcats will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Stilwell Indians at 6:00 p.m. Checotah is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
Checotah suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They fell just short of Keys by a score of 38-35. While losing is never fun, Checotah can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while Keys is ranked 140th).
Meanwhile, Stilwell unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to Fort Gibson 52-46.
Checotah's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Stilwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-3.
Checotah took a serious blow against Stilwell when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 82-44. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Stilwell's Snowda Watie, who scored 23 points along with eight steals.
