Baseball Recap: Park Crossing Comes Up Short

After flying high against Carver Montgomery last Saturday, Park Crossing came back down to earth. The Thunderbirds came up short against the Pike Road Patriots on Tuesday, falling 13-2. The Thunderbirds have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

J GREEN was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Park Crossing's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Pike Road, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-18.

While Park Crossing had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
