The Buford Yellowjackets lost against the Lewisville Lions last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Buford took a hard 33-16 fall against Lewisville.
Lewisville found their leader in underclassman Aiyana Murrell, who scored 8 points along with 14 rebounds and 6 blocks. Murrell is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Trinity Baker was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 7 assists.
Buford's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lewisville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buford will square off against Chesterfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chesterfield will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. As for Lewisville, they will head out on the road to face off against Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
