The Perry Commodores will head out on the road to square off against the Continental Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Continental took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Perry, who comes in off a win.
Perry put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They blew past Hardin Northern 52-31. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Perry has posted yet this season.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Continental, who are still winless after their 12th match. They were dealt a 63-18 defeat at the hands of Ottoville on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Continental can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 754th, while Ottoville is ranked 112th).
Perry is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Continental, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-12.
Perry was able to grind out a solid win over Continental in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, winning 37-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for Perry since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
