The Republic-Michigamme Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 69-23 loss at the hands of Dollar Bay. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Republic-Michigamme has scored all season.
Liam Tourtillott continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Dollar Bay, scoring 30 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which Tourtillott has scored at least a third of Dollar Bay's points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Vondoloski, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Republic-Michigamme has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Dollar Bay, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9.
Republic-Michigamme will head out on the road to challenge the Lakes at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Linden-Hubbell is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games. As for Dollar Bay, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Jets at 7:15 p.m. on February 2nd. Jeffers has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,176 points over their last 16 contests.
