Grayson entered their tilt with South Gwinnett on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Comets a 12-0 shutout. Considering the Rams have won 10 matchups by more than five runs this season, another big win was nothing new.

Grayson has now won six of their last seven games at home. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5-1 record this season. Those home wins came by way of their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for South Gwinnett, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-13.

Looking ahead, Grayson will challenge Newton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grayson's pitchers better be ready for this one: Newton has averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for South Gwinnett, they will welcome Rockdale County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.4 runs per game on average), something the Comets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
