Briarfield Academy and Prairie View Academy are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2018, but not for long. The Rebels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Prairie View Academy will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Briarfield Academy extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Rebels blew past Tensas Academy 52-6. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-6.

Briarfield Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Davis Holt out in front who threw for 147 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Holt a new career-high in rushing yards (11). Jack Woodall was another key back, gaining 118 total yards and two touchdowns.
Briarfield Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 220 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 175 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Prairie View Academy got the win against Christ Covenant on Friday by a conclusive 30-6. The 30-point effort marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Prairie View Academy found their leader in sophomore Nathan Stokes, who rushed for 79 yards and one score on only eight carries, and also threw for 137 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine passes.
Briarfield Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Prairie View Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Briarfield Academy has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 191.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Prairie View Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 215 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Briarfield Academy ended up a good deal behind Prairie View Academy in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, losing 35-18. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Spartans' Hayden Little, who rushed for 84 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 167 yards and three TDs on only 12 passes.
