Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Parkview, who are still winless after their 14th game. They took a serious blow against West Plains on Wednesday, falling 74-17. Parkview was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-9.
Parkview's loss came about despite a quality game from Brooklynn Masten, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Smith-Cotton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Parkview, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.
Smith-Cotton strolled past Parkview when the teams last played back in January of 2020 by a score of 72-55. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Parkview's Kamari Ouck, who scored 30 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
